Traffic noise on Uster’s cantonal roads needs to be reduced. One possible measure is to reduce the speed limit from 50 km/h to 30 km/h. On behalf of the Zurich cantonal civil engineering office, TBF is assessing the proportionality of speed limit reductions on selected cantonal roads in Uster. The aim is to evaluate measures that reduce noise and improve urban compatibility based on technical criteria and legal frameworks. The outcome will be a harmonized speed regime for the entire urban area. TBF provides technical expertise and facilitates the coordination between all stakeholders to support transparent and sustainable decision-making.
