The canton of Aargau has set up a platform as part of a waste planning measure to enable various stakeholders in the field of sewage sludge disposal to exchange information. In addition to the wastewater treatment plant itself, stakeholders include waste incineration plants, sewage sludge incinerators, sewage sludge dryers and the cement industry. Given mandatory phosphorus recovery requirements, the platform is intended to provide an opportunity to understand the needs of individual stakeholders and to find the best possible solution for Aargau.
