The WWTP Rhine in Pratteln, treats an extraordinary combination of municipal and industrial wastewater. In order to be prepared for the future, the plant must be expanded, whereby the requirements for the treatment process will change significantly. As part of the strategic planning of this major project, TBF supported the WWTP Rhein with the development of an extensive range of options as well as a contingency plan, which now forms the basis for the ongoing decision-making process. Currently, the suitability of a specific wastewater treatment process (SBR process) is being tested within the framework of a large-scale pilot project. On the one hand, TBF was commissioned to plan the pilot plant, and on the other hand, TBF experts are accompanying the current load test of the process for the specific case of the WWTP Rhein.
