New district heating system, sewerage network and infrastructure in Zurich Seefeld
Zurich, Switzerland
The Tiefenbrunnen Energy Consortium connected the Seefeld area (Wildbachstrasse, Karlstrasse, Ceres-Strasse, Hornbachstrasse and Münchhaldenstrasse, as well as Kieselgasse) to the City of Zurich’s district heating network. District heating pipes with diameters of up to DN 250 were installed. In addition, various sewerage systems, utility lines and building connections were installed within extremely confined street spaces. In addition to all the utility lines, the project involved the renewal of the road surface, including surfacing in accordance with the TAZ (Technical Office of the City of Zurich) standard, and the coordinated execution of the various requirements of the relevant companies and authorities, whilst complying with political, technical, legal, financial, scheduling and communication requirements.
