TBF + Partner AG was commissioned by the Canton of Zurich’s Civil Engineering Office to carry out a cycle route study along Rapperswilerstrasse (Cantonal Road 15) in the municipality of Rüti ZH. As a key route in the canton’s everyday cycling network, the corridor currently has several gaps and weaknesses. The aim is to remedy weaknesses in the existing cantonal cycle network in the everyday network, improve the quality of life, and integrate measures to reduce heat. This requires careful consideration of all needs and requirements in the densely built-up centre of Rüti.

TBF developed a wide range of options, which are being evaluated in terms of traffic, spatial, and climatic criteria. Based on the results of the option evaluation, the best option will be further developed in close consultation with the municipality of Rüti, the Zurich cantonal police, and local transport companies.

TBF is also responsible for project management and stakeholder coordination, including the municipality of Rüti and the cantonal police.
