New integrated energy hub in Regensdorf
Regensdorf, Switzerland
Energie 360° AG is developing an energy network in Regensdorf and Buchs comprising a large district heating network and an energy centre. In Dielsdorf, an ICT company operates three data centres which generate significant amounts of waste heat. This waste heat is also to be utilised by the Regensdorf energy network, which is both environmentally sound and sustainable. In Regensdorf itself, around 17 km of new district heating pipes are being laid. The pipe diameters range up to DN 400. The construction phase began in October 2024 and is due to be completed by summer 2029.
Several street sections and property connections have already been completed.
Features such as crossing watercourses or railway tracks present major challenges. Due to the tight schedule, work is taking place at several locations simultaneously. This requires close coordination with the authorities, residents and all contractors involved in the construction project.
