Three pioneering energy networks are being created in Regensdorf, Effretikon, and Volketswil, which will supply buildings with regional, CO2-neutral heat. Waste heat from the data centers in Dielsdorf and Volketswil will be recovered and transferred to the water cycle using heat pumps. This energy will be transported via district heating pipes to private households and industry, where it will be used for heating and hot water production.

TBF is responsible for all SIA phases from preliminary studies to commissioning in civil engineering, including communication with local authorities. It is also responsible for the project approval procedure. The first customers in all energy networks are expected to be supplied with heat as early as 2026. A total of around 50 km of new district heating pipes will be installed in all three energy networks.
