Glarus Nord Municipal Infrastructure Development Programme
Glarus Nord, Switzerland
According to the federal (see Art. 19 of the Spatial Planning Act, SPA) and the cantonal legislation, the municipality of Glarus Nord is required to draw up a municipal development programme. As a basis for this, all plots within the building zones were assessed in terms of their development and service provision status across all supply and disposal infrastructure (water, wastewater, electricity, pedestrian, cycle, motorized individual transport and public transport). TBF + Partner AG then drew up a service provision programme in which appropriate measures were devised for all plots that are not, or are insufficiently, connected to the necessary services. The individual measures, including their implementation timeframe and the approximate funding required, are set out in so-called ‘measure sheets’ and agreed in collaboration with the local authority. The infrastructure development programme is binding on the authorities and serves to guide future development over the next 15 years based on the local land-use plan.
